Dorothee Broichhausen studierte zuerst an der Musikhochschule Köln (Standort Aachen) bei Prof. Ulla Graf, später dann in Zürich an der Hochschule der Künste in der Meisterklasse von Prof. Homero Francesch. Sie besuchte Meisterkurse bei Stanislav Neuhaus, Bruno Leonardo Gelber und Vitaly Margulis. Seit 1980 ist sie selbst als Dozentin an der Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln tätig: Sie leitet dort eine eigene Klavierklasse und unterrichtet Methodik und Didaktik. Neben dem Unterrichten führt ihre Konzerttätigkeit sie von Südamerika bis nach China und Korea. In all diesen Ländern ist sie zudem gefragt als Dozentin verschiedenster Interpretationskurse und didaktischer Seminare. Einen Schwerpunkt ihrer pianistischen Arbeit bildet die Zusammenarbeit mit der argentinischen Pianistin Adriana Sanchez: Das Klavierduo "piano dos" widmet sich neben dem gängigen Repertoire der zeitgenössischen Literatur für das vierhändige Genre und bringt regelmäßig eigens für sie komponierte Werke zur Uraufführung. Die große künstlerische Vielfalt von Dorothee Broichhausen spiegelt sich darüber hinaus in zahlreichen Radio- und Fernsehproduktionen u.a. für WDR, HR, SBRF; RADIO HILVERSUM, RADIO NACIONAL ARG wider. |
Dorothee Broichhausen first studied at the College of Music in Cologne, location Aachen, with Prof. Ulla Graf and later in Zurich at the College of Fine Arts in the master class of Prof. Homero Francesch. She attended master classes with Stanislav Neuhaus, Bruno Leonardo Gelber and Vitaly Margulis. Since 1980 she has been lecturing at the College of Music and Dance in Cologne: she has her own piano class there and teaches methodics and didactics. In addition to teaching, her concert activity takes her from Latin America to China and Korea. In all these countries she is also very popular as a lecturer for a variety of interpretation classes and didactic seminars. One focus of her pianistic work is the co-operation with the Argentinian pianist Adriana Sanchez: in addition to the popular repertoire the piano duo "piano dos" plays the contemporary literature for four hands and regularly presents world premieres of works specially composed for them.
