Abstract

Im zweijährigen Abstand führt die "International Society for Music Education" einen Weltkongreß mit wechselndem Thema in je einem anderen Land und Kontinent durch. Diesem Kongreß gehen in der Regel Arbeitstagungen der einzelnen Arbeitskreise (Commissions) voraus. 1994 fand diese Arbeitstagung der Commission "Musik in Sonderpädagogik, Musiktherapie und Medizin" in Boulder (U.S.A.), 1998 in Cape Town, Südafrika, statt. Wiederum war es die internationale Besetzung dieser beiden Arbeitstagungen, die für einen anregenden Austausch in den drei verwandten Disziplinen: Musik in Pädagogik, Therapie und Medizin sorgte. Anwesend waren Forscherinnen und Forscher aus sechs verschiedenen Ländern (Argentinien, Australien, Großbritannien, Deutschland, Japan und USA). Das vorliegende Buch dokumentiert in neun Aufsätzen Arbeitsweisen und Forschungsergebnisse aus diesen unterschiedlichen Ländern.
