Maria Borghesi holds MAs in Piano (Brescia Conservatory) and in Musicology (University of Pavia). In 2020, she defended her PhD dissertation at the Hochschule für Musik in Dresden, obtaining the Giovanni Morelli award. She is co-founder of JSBach.it, the Italian Bach Society. |
Borghesi's research deals with the cultural history of music, textual bibliography, and reception theory. Currently, she teaches Systematic Musicology and History of Music in Italian Conservatories. |
